This gold dinar was issued by Harun al-Rashid, ruler of the Abbasid Caliphate from 786-809 AD. It has an attractive appearance with honest circulation and nice gold color. This piece is approximately 4 grams of 90% gold. It does have a minor edge clip which was someone making sure the coin was real gold sometime in the past 1200 or so years.
